Soup & Tell is a soup-tasting party and you’re invited to taste and enjoy! This event is FREE and open to the public. All are welcome. Do come early, though. When the soup is gone, the soup is gone!
5:00-6:30PM
- Savor great soups prepared by local favorites. Each soup comes with a list of ingredients, and a short story revealing the soup’s significance or how it has become a fan-favorite.
- Individuals rate each soup on its flavor, appearance, and texture.
- While you may arrive at any time, you will want to plan to arrive as close to 5PM as possible so you have enough time to enjoy all of the soups.
6:00-6:30PM
- Each table will rank their top three “Most Memorable” Soup & Tell entries.
- “Most Memorable” can be determined for any reason: a compelling or intriguing story, a particularly unique ingredient, the overall WOW factor, or whatever inspires your table to find it most memorable.
6:30-7:00PM
- Enjoy refreshments while the scores are tallied.
- Celebrate the winners of Soup & Tell during the awards ceremony!
Awards Ceremony
- Best Overall — This award goes to the entry that receives the highest combined average rating on all categories (flavor, appearance, and texture).
- Most Memorable — This award goes to the entry that receive the highest ranking as “Most Memorable.”
- Best Flavor —This award toes to the entry that receives the highest average flavor rating.
- Best Appearance —This award toes to the entry that receives the highest average appearance rating.
- Best Texture —This award toes to the entry that receives the highest average texture rating.

Are you considering entering a soup to compete at Soup & Tell?
This unique, free, and fun event is a great way to show off your special soup. Contestants must simply send us their list of ingredients used and a short “story” (roughly 400 words) about their soup and then bring 4-6 quarts of prepared soup and serve it at the event. You know how to make great soup, here’s your chance to let others appreciate what you can do and enjoy the soup you already know they’ll love!
